423 Graduates Join Legal Profession at Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana’s Convocation Ceremony

The Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana successfully organised a convocation ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the lives of young lawyers. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Berry, Judge, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, as the Chief Guest.
Dr. Vijender Singh Ahlawat, Chairman, Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Berry for his presence. Other dignitaries present included Mr. Karamjeet Singh Chaudhary, Honorary Secretary, and members Mr. Raj Kumar Chauhan, Mr. Gurtej Singh Grewal, and Mr. C.M. Munjal.
In his address, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Berry emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance in the legal profession. He encouraged the young lawyers to strive for excellence and to make a positive impact on society. Justice Berry also wished the candidates appearing for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) tomorrow the very best.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Berry’s journey to the bench is inspiring. He joined the district judicial services at a young age and later served as the Registrar General of the High Court before being elevated as a Judge of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana.
About 423 young lawyers got themselves enrolled with the Bar council of Punjab and Haryana in their convocation ceremony today. The convocation ceremony is a momentous occasion, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of young lawyers.
It is also pertinent to mention here that the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana was established under the Advocates Act 1961 and since its inception Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana has on its roll about One Lac Forty thousand advocates.
