4th Governing Body Meeting of Rogi Kalyaan Samiti of GMSH-16 Held under Chairmanship of Manish Tiwari 

Dedicated Ambulance Service for Senior Citizens and Bed Ridden Patients

Dedicated Help Desk at OPD, Emergency and Gynae Ward

The 4th Rogi Kalyaan Samiti (RKS) Governing Body meeting was held under the chairmanship of Manish Tiwari, Member of Parliament, Chandigarh, in the presence of Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, UT Chandigarh, Dr Suman Singh, Director Health Services, Senior officials of the health department and administration, along with the nominated members at Govt. Multi-Speciality Hospital, Sector-16, Chandigarh, wherein several important issues were discussed and approved.

During the meeting, it was decided by the committee members that a dedicated ambulance service shall be started for senior citizens and bed ridden patients. Also, a dedicated Help Desk for patient anc there attendants shall be started for OPD, Gynae, and Emergency Ward. It was also decided that 6 Caretakers/ Attendants will be hired to help the patients without any accompanying person. These caretakers will help and assist the patients in wheelchairs, getting their medicines, and getting their tests done. These services would be initiated shortly after the due approval of the governing body.
The Chairperson suggested that initiatives be taken to encourage and promote the wellness culture for the residents of Chandigarh taking use of the social media platforms.
The Chairperson appreciated the initiatives of the department and also reiterated that all steps for the welfare of the patients should be widely publicised so that the benefits reach one and all.
