5 days interstate training programme on “CDR, TOWER DUMP & IPDR ANALYSIS” organized for Chandigarh Police & neighbouring state’s Police

Under the guidance of Director General of Police, U.T. Chandigarh and under the supervision of SSP-Headquarter & Training, U.T. Chandigarh, a 5 days interstate training programme (12th – 16th September 2022) on “CDR, TOWER DUMP & IPDR ANALYSIS” for investigating officers of Chandigarh Police & neighbouring states is being organized in Recruit Training Centre, Sector-26, Chandigarh. Participants from Chandigarh Police, Haryana Police, Punjab Police, Himachal Pradesh Police, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu are participating in this interstate training programme.
Praveer Ranjan, IPS, Director General of Police, U.T. Chandigarh was the chief guest of this function and he inaugurated the training programme by lighting the lamp. Raj Kumar Singh, IPS, IGP/UT, Chandigarh, Deepak Purohit, IPS, DIGP/UT, Chandigarh, Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, SSP/UT, Chandigarh, Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, SSP/Headquarters & Training, UT, Chandigarh and Shruti Arora, IPS, SP/City, UT, Chandigarh were also present in this function.
Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, SSP/Headquarters & Training welcomed the Chief guest, faculty members Parmesh Naik, Priya Ghurde, and Nitin Sharma from SVPNPA, Hydrabad, participants and gave an overview of the training programme. W/DGP/UT interacted with the participants and motivated them to learn new techniques and enhance their skills to deal with Cyber Crime cases efficiently as it is the need of the hour. The inaugural function ended with the vote of thanks by Jaswinder Kaur, DSP/Training-cum-Nodal Officer of the training programme.
This 5 days training programme includes Mobile communication technologies, detailed analysis of Call Detail records, multiple CDR analysis, IPDR & GPRS Data analysis, Tower dump analysis, VoIP technology and case simulations. Total 50 Police personnel (Dy.SPs-04, Inspectors-12, Sub-Inspectors-19, Head Constable -01, Constables-14) are attending this Training Programme.
The main objective of this training programme is to empower the investigating officers with the new techniques and technology to deal with Cyber Crime cases efficiently and also to provide an interstate platform where police officers/officials may exchange their best practices and develop better interstate coordination.
