UDAAN 2022 AT BHAVAN VIDYALAYA CHANDIGARH

Bhavan’s Old Students Society (BOSS), the alumni network of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh keeps the true spirit of Bhavan alive through its various endeavours. BOSS reaffirms the true meaning of education which lies in intelligence plus character. On the cold winter day of 24th December 2022, Bhavan’s Old Students’ Society (BOSS) lifted the spirits of children through its initiative UDAAN.

Udaan is a project initiative by Bhavan Vidyalaya that caters to the needs of students from the economically weaker sections of school. Sensitive to its social and moral responsibilities, the school has been running Udaan-an evening school for children who belong to economically weaker sections of society since 2014. The initiative caters to about 50 students who come from underprivileged homes, who face the risk of dropping out due to family circumstances.

The old students of Bhavan Vidyalaya visited the school to celebrate Christmas and wish them a happy new year. Dr. Richa Gupta, President, BOSS alongwith Team BOSS distributed Lunch Boxes, Water Bottles, Pencil Boxes, Stationery Kit and juices to these students and wished them great success. The children of Project Udaan were overjoyed to receive this support which was made possible through the voluntary contribution by members of BOSS and brought satisfaction to both the donors and the receivers. The goodie bags and juices were sponsored by Bittu Fashioners-26 and Panjab Agro.
