Shiv Raman Gaur said that this sacrosanct and solemn occasion marks a milestone in the life of students who will go back home with not only rolls of honour but also with a sense of responsibility that comes alongwith these degrees. Being the ambassadors of DAV philosophy, Gaur motivated the degree holders to all that the college endeavoured the to be- the women of substance who are rooted in the rich legacy of our heritage while keeping their eyes open to modern vistas of knowledge, making their mark in the global scenario while remaining sensitive to the needs of the society and the environment, staying flexible when the situation so requires but standing up like a rock in the matter of principles, upholding ethics, striving for peace, choosing negotiation over conflict, practicing sustainable lifestyle and being the harbingers of all that is sublime and bearing the essence of the principles of Arya Samaj and ethics of DAV philosophy.

Reminding the students of the rich Indian tradition that extols the position of women, Gaur quoted Yuval Noah Harari’s book ‘Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind’ wherein he mentioned that Swami Dayanand Saraswati was the first person in the history of mankind in modern times who has proclaimed to the whole world that women should be equated with men on parity and have equal rights. In his parting advice, he asked the young graduates to bring more laurels to the college’s robust tradition of stellar performance in various domains and uphold the ethics of the DAV fraternity while breaking new grounds in diverse fields.

New Horizons- the research journal of the college and Testimony of Excellence, were also unveiled by the dignitaries on this occasion. Besides awarding of degrees, Special Prizes were awarded to academic toppers and NCC cadets. Alumni achievers were also awarded during the event.

Dr. Nisha Bhargava congratulated the students for keeping alive the institution’s inimitable tradition of excellence through their awe-inspiring achievements.
