Contribution of “Kinnar Community” in the development of Chandigarh is highly commendable – Satya Pal Jain
The Voice of Chandigarh : Satya Pal Jain, former MP of Chandigarh, Additional Solicitor General of the Government of India and Chairman of the Social Welfare Committee of Chandigarh, has said that the Social Welfare Committee of Chandigarh will soon call a meeting of all the members of the “Kinnar Community” (Transgender), so that their Problems can be solved by understanding them and giving them priority.
Mr. Jain was addressing as the chief guest in the “Shiv Mahapuran Katha” organized by the Kinnar Samaj of Chandigarh at Parshuram Bhawan, Sector 37. Before this, he was honored by the “Kinnar Community” by wearing him Turban. This Katha was performed by the famous Katha-Vachak Dr. Ramnik Krishan Ji.
Mr. Jain said that the people of Kinnar community have made a huge contribution to the social and cultural development of Chandigarh. He said that people of the transgender community also need the same respect and love in the society that other people get. He said that people of this class always think about other people of the society and pray for their happiness and bright future rather than about themselves.
He said that there is a need to create an environment of more love and affection in the society towards the people of this class. He said that the Social Welfare Committee of Chandigarh Administration will pay full attention to this and will understand their problems and take all necessary steps to solve them.
