Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for Regional Passport Office (RPO), Ranchi Building

Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, V. Muraleedharan laid the foundation stone for the building of Regional Passport Office Ranchi in Prabandhan Nagar, Nayasarai Road, Ranchi in the presence of Members of Parliament Samir Oraon, Deepak Prakash, Aditya Sahu, Former Member of Parliament Mahesh Poddar and Member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Navin Jaiswal.
RPO building complex is being constructed over an area of 02 acres of land provided by the State Government. The project is executed by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and is expected to be completed in 2024. The office building of RPO would also house the Protectorate of Emigrants Office (PoE). The project includes residential buildings.
This RPO office building would be laced with state of the art technology and facilities that would further allow Ministry of External Affairs to provide passport and related services to citizens in a timely, reliable, accessible, transparent and efficient manner and to fulfill Prime Minister’s vision of “Ease of Living”.
