Sri Sathya Sai Manav Seva Foundation, an initiative of few individuals joining their hands together for setting up and establishing a state of art Modern hospital, providing totally free, but quality treatment to poor and under-privileged, at village Kurari, Mohali, is working in the field of health care for society. The Foundation organized its free health care camp at Village Kurari on the occasion of Republic Day. The camp started with flag hoisting and national anthem. Six well qualified doctors gave treatment and medicines to about 300 patients in the specialities of General medicine, Gynaecology, ophthalmology, Paediatrics, ENT and skin care etc. The eyes of about 95 patients were tested with latest eye equipment, besides diagnostic blood tests were carried out from another 110 patients during the camp.
Dr. Satish Garg, founder president of Foundation informed that their aim is to provide door-to-door healthcare service to a cluster of 30 villages, including healthcare to women and children through a well-equipped Mobile Hospital Van also providing eye and dental care, as eyes and teeth ailments are the starting point of disease in human body as per experts. The 52 bedded Hospital shall be located at village Kurari. One of the features of this hospital is going to be palliative care for post operative care, oncology surgeries, which is not available in the region, especially for poor sections of society. The hospital shall also have an in-house skilled training institute to provide free comprehensive training in home health cum medical care to village youth so that they can in turn provide tertiary health services and also get self-employment in the process.
Besides, providing quality OPD consultation, dispensation of medicine, the hospital also aims to provide high-quality diagnostic services along with free health care check-up. The holding of the absolutely free health check-up camp at village Kurari, on the occasion of Republic Day, on 26th January, 2024, was the first step towards setting up a state of art free hospital for poor and under-privileged.
Amar Vivek Aggarwal, an advocate by profession, Satish Garg, a businessman its founder President, Puneet Malhotra and Satish Sharma and Dr. Deepak Singla – social workers are few of the trustees of this project, looking after and managing the work of the proposed hospital project. Various other professionals, organizations and NGO’s have joined their hands together to give a practical shape to this project.
