Chief Justice Sheel Nagu Graces Enrollment Ceremony for New Advocates in Chandigarh

A function was organized in the Auditorium of the Law Bhawan, at Chandigarh, Hon’ble Mr. Chief Justice Sheel Nagu, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court graced the occasion as Chief Guest and distributed 264 Enrolment certificates after administrating oath to the newly enrolled advocates. Wishing them success in practice His Lordship advised the new entrants, on the basic essence i.e. hard work along with references to how their daily lifestyle could help to pave an even brighter future for the country.

Dr. Vijender Singh Ahlawat Chairman Bar Council Punjab & Haryana welcomed Hon’ble Mr. Chief Justice Sheel Nagu, on his maiden visit to the Bar Council since assumption of his charge as the Hon’ble Chief Justice Punjab and Haryana High Court and advised the new entrants to maintain dignity of the noble legal profession.  Chetan Verma, Vice Chairman,  Suvir Sidhu, Member BCI & Former Chairman, Hony Secretary  Karamjeet Singh Chaudhary, Rakesh Gupta Chairman Enrollment Committee,   Gurtej Singh Grewal, Chairman Trustee Committee,  Surinder Dutt Sharma, Chairman Verification Committee Haryana,  Raj Kumar Chauhaan Secretary Monitoring Committee,  Karanjit Singh Chairman Verification Committee Punjab  Ajay Chaudhary, Member Enrollment Committee,  Lekh Raj Sharma Former Chairman and  Harpreet Singh Multani Member of Bar Council also graced the occasion amongst the presence of other Advocates as well as parents and guardians of the newly enrolled advocates who belong to different places of Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh. 

It is also pertinent to mention here that the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana was established under the Advocates Act 1961 and since its inception Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana has on its roll about One Lac Forty thousand advocates.
