Delegation from Manimajra meets Mayor; demands recarpeting of roads
A delegation from Manimajra led by Surinder Singh, former Mayor met with Kuldeep Kumar, Mayor, Chandigarh and raised their issues including recarpeting of roads for which administrative approval has already been given.
The delegation comprising R.P. Sharma, Sh. Parwana, Bua Singh, Avtar Singh and Sonu Patel met with the Mayor in his office. They raised the issue that the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh had given administrative approval of recarpeting of roads at estimated cost of Rs. 8.47 crores in the Manimajra area but the tenders have not been floated till date.
The delegation demanded that the condition of roads in Manimajra is in very bad condition including roads from Housing Board chowk to Fauji Dhaba, Railway underbridge to Shivalik Garden chowk, internal roads of NAC and parkings of Shivalik Garden and infront of SCO main market, Manimajra.
The Mayor asked the concerned engineers of B&R wing, MCC to resolve the issue immediately and start the process of recarpeting of roads in Manimajra area.
