ROTARY DONATES 30 COMPUTERS TO GOVT SCHOOLS OF UT CHANDIGARH

Keeping abreast with the technical advancements which is the utmost need of the hour, Rotary District 3080 has been instrumental in enhancing learning experiences through digital resources in Govt schools of UT Chandigarh.
IPF Vikram India Ltd. , a company owned by Rotarian couple PJ Singh and Rajinder Kaur, both members of Rotary Club Chandigarh, donated USD 20,000 dollars to the Rotary Foundation under its CSR initiative to benefit the students in government schools by adding to the capacity of the existing computer labs in these schools.
Rotary District 3080 received the grant from the Rotary Foundation and disbursed the amount for purchase of 34 computers out of which 4 computers were sent to schools in Saharanpur. District Governor Rajpal Singh was present along with chief guest Mr. HPS Brar, DSE, UT Chandigarh at Rotary House Chandigarh. It is worth mentioning that 30 computers costing Rs 13,55,250 have been given to six government schools in Chandigarh.
This initiative shall support online education and remote learning, provides access to educational resources and materials, facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing, improve engagement and motivation amongst the next generation learners facilitating enhanced collaboration and communication with flexibility and self-paced learning.
