Major Drug Bust in Punjab: Police Seize 105 Kg of Heroin, Arrest Associates of Turkey-Based Smuggler

Punjab Police have made a significant breakthrough in the ongoing war against drugs, arresting two associates of Turkey-based drug smuggler Navpreet Singh, alias Nav Bhullar. During the operation in Baba Bakala, authorities seized 105 kg of heroin and multiple firearms, including five foreign-made pistols.
The arrested suspects, Navjot Singh from Amritsar and Lovepreet Kumar from Kapurthala, were apprehended following a tip-off. DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed that the heroin was mixed with scheduled drugs, such as caffeine anhydrous and dextromethorphan, to increase its volume.
The police also confiscated the suspects’ Volkswagen Virtus vehicle. Ongoing investigations aim to uncover the smuggling routes and identify additional members of the drug cartel. An FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the NDPS and Arms Acts.
