Over the years, your dedication and support have been instrumental in making Malaysia one of the most sought-after destinations for Indian travellers. As we look ahead, the year 2025 will offer even greater opportunities, and Visit Malaysia Year 2026 will be a defining moment for the future of tourism between our two countries.
In response to the surge, 2024 saw the launch of numerous new routes from India, including daily direct flights to Penang and Langkawi starting December 2024, alongside their existing routes to Kuala Lumpur. With these new connections, Malaysia is now directly linked to three major cities – Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Langkawi – further strengthening its position as a preferred destination. The increased connectivity from India will play a crucial role, especially in the lead-up to Visit Malaysia Year 2026. We are excited to work closely with you all as we continue to position Malaysia as the leading destination for Indian travellers. Together, we will make 2026 a landmark year for tourism.”
Tourism Malaysia remains committed to strengthening its presence in the Indian market and fostering even closer ties with the travel community. With a growing interest in Malaysia’s diverse cultural, natural, and sustainable tourism offerings, the organization is focused on providing more opportunities for collaboration and growth in the coming years.
The evening concluded with a toast to the continued success of Malaysia-India tourism relations, with plans already underway for future initiatives aimed at attracting even more Indian visitors to Malaysia.
