
ETAA Launches Its First State Chapter in Tamil Nadu

The Enterprising Travel Agents Association (ETAA) marked a significant milestone with the successful launch of its first State Chapter in Tamil Nadu. The grand inauguration ceremony took place in Chennai, attended by industry leaders, ETAA members, and distinguished guests.

The event was graced by Mr. Venkateshan, Regional Director (Southern Region) of India Tourism, Chennai, as the Chief Guest, alongside Mrs. Amla Dantas and Mr. Carl Dantas, Founder & Chairman Emeritus of ETAA, as the Guests of Honour.

During the ceremony, the newly appointed office-bearers for the Tamil Nadu chapter were introduced:
- P.V. Sharan Kumar – Chairman
- Ms. Fathima Bai – Secretary
- Ms. Selvi Grace Jecintha – Treasurer
Several prominent ETAA National Board Members also attended the event, including:
- Mr. Jagat Mehta – Director and National Board Member
- Mrs. Dipti Pradhan Thakoor – Director, National Board Member, and Event Head
- Mr. Joyson – National Board Member and Regional Director, South India
- Mr. Abhijit Khadilkar – Director, National Board Member, and Membership Head

The launch witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of over 50 attendees, including travel industry professionals from airlines, hotels, and tourism sectors, as well as ETAA members from Bangalore.

This initiative marks a new chapter in ETAA’s expansion, strengthening its presence in southern India and fostering greater opportunities for networking, collaboration, and industry growth. With this launch, ETAA aims to drive forward its mission of promoting tourism and enhancing the travel trade ecosystem across the country.
