TAAI’s “RALLY for The VALLEY” has made a huge positive impact and this, says TAAI, is just the beginning. Held in Srinagar, the rally featured multiple events, including a grand launch with Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as Chief Guest, a mega Press Meet, and a special Managing Committee Meeting.

Over 75 TAAI delegates from across India joined 100+ members of the J&K Chapter, creating a powerful presence across the region. The bold, strategic launch was widely recognized and appreciated by the industry. TAAI firmly declared that no disruption can ever stop tourism or endanger livelihoods — their loud call: Let’s go to J&K.

At the Radisson Collection, TAAI President Sunil Kumar, speaking on behalf of 2000+ member companies across 20 Regions & Chapters, affirmed the association’s commitment to support J&K’s tourism revival. He commended regional leaders for their readiness to face challenges ahead.

Recalling TAAI’s 2018 Convention in Srinagar, President Kumar emphasized their ongoing duty to promote tourism in difficult times. He praised the efforts of the J&K Chapter and vowed continued support.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah delivered a heartfelt address, reflecting on how tourism in J&K, once booming, had dwindled to “vacant seats and vacant rooms.” He said true friends stand with you during adversity and thanked TAAI for its timely gesture. He was honoured with the Award of Leadership for his unwavering efforts to help J&K recover.

Joining the event were the Hon’ble Advisor to the CM, three MLAs, key hoteliers, and tourism heads, all pledging full support.

TAAI delegates visited key attractions including Lal Chowk, Dal Lake (with Shikara ride), Mughal Gardens, Hazratbal Shrine, Pahalgam — with many extending visits to Gulmarg and Sonmarg to further promote these destinations.

TAAI has called upon all travel and tourism associations in India to support its mission. “RALLY for The VALLEY” aims to inspire travelers nationwide to visit J&K. President Kumar said J&K Chapter members will assist other associations in promoting the region, with a goal to reach a million travelers. A robust and aggressive roadmap will soon be announced to further boost revival efforts.
