CITCO Sees Strong Start to the Year with First Quarter Growth

CITCO (Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation) has delivered a strong performance in the first quarter ending June 2025, with notable growth in both sales and net profits across its three prominent hospitality units – Hotel Mountview, Hotel Shivalikview, and Hotel Parkview. Hotel Mountview recorded sales of Rs 587.86 lakh, a healthy rise from Rs 521.12 lakh in the same period last year. Hotel Shivalikview posted an increase in sales from Rs 489.99 lakh to Rs 505.49 lakh, along with a remarkable jump in net profit to Rs 93.38 lakh. Hotel Parkview also showed positive momentum, recording a profit of Rs 19.26 lakh compared to Rs 1.92 lakh last year, with sales standing at Rs 328.78 lakh.

These results highlight the success of CITCO’s strategic focus on quality service, digital visibility, and operational efficiency. The Corporation’s initiatives including targeted promotional campaigns, association with platforms like MakeMyTrip, and customer-centric offerings at its restaurants and banquets, have contributed significantly to this upward trend.

Sharing his views on the performance, the Managing Director CITCO, Mr Hari Kallikkat IAS, said, “We are pleased with the encouraging results this quarter. The growing profitability of our hotels reflects our team’s commitment to service excellence and innovation. CITCO continues to strive for sustainable growth while enhancing Chandigarh’s position as a leading hospitality destination.”

Moving forward, CITCO aims to further enhance customer service and drive business growth, particularly in food and beverages.

CITCO is shortly implementing several key initiatives, including Centralised Reservation System (CRS), Dynamic pricing for Rooms , exclusive deals with MakeMyTrip (MMT), renovation of rooms, banquets, and corridors, rationalization of manpower, and strategic tie-ups with various organizations to augment profits
