Simrat Sharma Receives Independence Day Honour for Excellence in Art & Culture

Chandigarh, August 15: On Independence Day, Simrat Sharma was honoured for her outstanding contribution to the field of art and culture.

The award was presented by the Hon’ble Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria, in recognition of her dedication to promoting creativity, preserving heritage, and enriching the cultural life of the city.

Simrat has been actively involved in spreading awareness about art and culture, inspiring many through her initiatives and community engagement. Her efforts have helped keep traditional art forms alive while also encouraging new talent to flourish.

Speaking to The Voice of Chandigarh, she shared, “This recognition is not just mine, it belongs to everyone who has supported and believed in my journey. Art and culture are the soul of our society, and I feel blessed to contribute towards preserving and promoting them.”
