Chandigarh Police Register Multiple FIRs Against Illegal Immigration Consultancies

In a major crackdown against unauthorized immigration consultancies, Chandigarh Police have registered several cases under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) across different police stations. These firms were allegedly operating without mandatory permission from the District Magistrate (DM), UT Chandigarh.

PS Sector 34

FIR No. 130: Against Ankit, resident of Silver Town Society, Sector 48, for running an immigration office at SCO 148-149, Sector 34.
FIR No. 131: Against Harpreet Singh, owner of Akal Overseas Consultant Pvt. Ltd., for running an office at SCO 85-86, Sector 34.
FIR No. 132: Against unknown person at SCO 359, 1st floor, Sector 34.
FIR No. 133: Against unknown person at SCO 146-147, 4th floor, Sector 34.
FIR No. 134: Against Heera Lal of Balachaur, Punjab, for running operations at SCO 364-366. He was arrested and later released on bail.
FIR No. 135: Against Rishi Kumar of Kurali, Punjab, for running business at Piccadilly Square Mall, Sector 34. He too was arrested and later bailed out.

PS Sector 36

FIR No. 178: Against Swaran Singh of Mohali for operating at SCO 459-460, 2nd floor, Sector 35/C.
FIR No. 179: Against Dinesh Singh of Village Dariya, Chandigarh, for running business at SCO 333-334, 2nd floor, Sector 35/B. He was arrested and bailed out.

PS Sector 31

FIR No. 162: Against Lovereet Singh of Amritsar, Punjab, for running an office at SCO 40, Sector 31/D. He was arrested and later released on bail.
FIR No. 163: Against Dinesh Kumar of Sector 47/D, Chandigarh, for running operations at SCO 76, Sector 47/D. He too was arrested and bailed out.

PS Sector 03

FIR No. 70: Against Sukhwant Singh of Mandi Ahmedgarh, Punjab, and Prabhjot Singh of Ludhiana, for running operations at SCO 161-162, 1st floor, Sector 08/C. Sukhwant Singh was arrested and bailed out.
FIR No. 71: Against an unidentified woman resident of Sector 15/D, Chandigarh, for operating at the same location. She was arrested and bailed out.

PS Sector 19

FIR No. 49: Against a woman from Phase-1, Mohali, for running immigration consultancy at SCO 26, Sector 20/D. She was arrested and later released on bail.

PS Sector 17

FIR No. 132: Against Bijay Sharma of Emaar Hills, Mohali, and Amardeep Singh of Ludhiana, for operating at Cabin No. 303, SCO 181-182, 3rd floor, Sector 17. Amardeep Singh was arrested and bailed out.
