Türkiye’s vibrant travel campaigns are taking over social media feeds worldwide — and that’s no coincidence. With 20.8 million followers across eight major platforms, GoTürkiye, the country’s official global tourism portal, has positioned itself as one of the most influential tourism promotion accounts in the world.

Unmatched Growth on YouTube and TikTok

GoTürkiye’s dynamic digital storytelling has set new benchmarks in destination marketing. On YouTube, subscribers skyrocketed by 146% from 2.1 million to 5.2 million, while views surged to 763 million in the first half of 2025 — a 55% jump. Engagements more than doubled, climbing 123% to 122.6 million.

Original series like Antalya Gambit, İstanbul My Love, and influencer-driven shows such as Be Our Guest have captivated global viewers. Meanwhile, the acclaimed Sight & Sound Sessions, featuring international music stars performing at iconic Turkish landmarks, amassed 15.5 million views and 1.7 million hours of watch time, further elevating the platform’s global profile.

On TikTok, GoTürkiye has emerged as the top national tourism promotion account, with followers rising 34% to 4.63 million and views soaring to 1.4 billion in just six months — a 53% leap year-on-year.

Instagram Success Story

Instagram has also proven a powerhouse for Türkiye’s tourism brand. Creative reels showcasing timeless Turkish recipes, drone shots of turquoise coasts, and thematic journeys propelled views up by 51% to 812 million, while engagements more than doubled to 141 million. Followers crossed 3.7 million, placing GoTürkiye second among global tourism promotion accounts on Instagram.

A Multi-Platform Global Strategy

Beyond YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, GoTürkiye maintains a thriving presence on Facebook, X (Twitter), WhatsApp, Douyin, and VKontakte. This multi-channel strategy, driven by the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), has transformed GoTürkiye from a tourism brand into a cultural ambassador for Türkiye in the digital world.
