Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Hospitalised with Fever, Condition Stable

The Voice of Chandigarh-Chandigarh, September 6, 2025:

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, on Friday after developing high fever, exhaustion, low heart rate and digestive issues. Doctors said his condition is now stable and improving.

According to hospital sources, the CM’s vital signs and blood parameters have started to recover, though he is expected to remain under observation for the next two to three days. Medical experts suspect the illness may have been caused by exposure to contaminated water during his tours of flood-affected areas.

Despite being hospitalised, Mann has been closely monitoring flood relief operations from his ward. A cabinet meeting on flood management was postponed, and the CM could not accompany AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal on his visit to the worst-hit regions.

Doctors are optimistic about his recovery and have not ruled out an early discharge if his health continues to improve.
