Sector-42 woman duped in fake online investment scheme; Cyber Cell launches probe, warns public to beware of digital fraud traps.

A shocking case of cyber fraud has surfaced in the city. A woman from Sector-42/C, Chandigarh has lodged a complaint after being cheated of a whopping ₹68.6 Lakh in the name of an online investment scheme.

The case has been registered as FIR No. 117 under Sections 319(2), 318(4), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) of BNS at Cyber Cell, Sector-17, Chandigarh.

Police have launched a probe, but the accused is still unknown.
