Justice Pankaj Jain Administers Oath to 574 Advocates in Chandigarh

Hon’ble Mr. Justice Hon’ble Pankaj Jain Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court graced the occasion as Chief Guest and distributed 574 Enrolment certificates after administrating oath to the newly enrolled advocates in the convocation ceremony organized by Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana at Law Bhawan today i.e. 20.09.2025. His Lordship wishing them success in practice, motivated new entrants to take pride in themselves and uphold the dignity of the legal profession. His Lordship encouraged them to not be a rouge group rather be torch bearer of the institution upholding its dignity.
Justice Jain welcomed all the new entrants and his Lordship’s heartfelt addressal which brought great encouragement to the newly enrolled young lawyers to strive for excellence and to make a positive impact on society without adopting shortcuts.
Rakesh Gupta, Chairman, Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to Hon’ble Mr. Justice Pankaj Jain advised the new entrants to maintain dignity and integrity of the noble legal profession. Surinder Dutt Sharma, Hony Secretary, C.M.Munjal, Chairrman, Finance Committee, Ajay Chaudhary, Member Enrolment Committee, Gurtej Singh Grewal ,Chairman Election Committee, Punjab Karamjeet Singh, Member Disciplinary Committee, Raj Kumar Chauhaan, Chairman Privilege Committee, Harpreet Singh Multani, Member, Privilege Committee, Chetan Verma, Member D.C. of the Bar Council also graced the occasion amongst the presence of other Advocates as well as parents and guardians of the newly enrolled advocates who belong to different places of Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh.
Around 574 lawyers got themselves enrolled with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in their convocation ceremony today. The convocation ceremony is a momentous occasion, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of lawyers.
It is also pertinent to mention here that the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana was established under the Advocates Act 1961 and since its inception Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana has on its roll more than One lac fifty-seven thousand advocates.
