In a bid to strengthen basic civic infrastructure and enhance public safety, Chandigarh MP and former Union Minister Manish Tewari inaugurated floodlights in the Sector 40 market and a CCTV surveillance network in Maloya village and adjoining areas, dedicating both to the residents.

The installations have been funded through grants from the Member of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) Fund. Chandigarh Congress Committee President Harmohinder Singh Lucky and Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty were also present at the event.

Addressing the gathering, MP Tewari said his focus remains on the holistic development of the Chandigarh Lok Sabha constituency, ensuring that MPLAD funds are effectively utilized to improve everyday facilities and enhance the city’s security.
