Chandigarh Administration Declares 25th November 2025 as Public Holiday on Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji

The Chandigarh Administration has officially declared 25th November 2025 (Tuesday) as a Public Holiday on the occasion of the Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. This decision comes following a partial modification of an earlier notification that had marked the day as a Restricted Holiday.

According to the revised notification issued by Home Secretary Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, all Government Offices, Boards, Corporations, Institutions, and Industrial Establishments under the Chandigarh Administration will remain closed on this day.

The decision honours the supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and ensures that the observance receives its due respect and recognition across the Union Territory.
