India Issues Advisory for Nationals in Iran Amid Evolving Situation

In view of the rapidly evolving situation in Iran, the Government of India has issued an urgent advisory for Indian nationals currently residing in the country, urging them to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary movement.
According to the advisory, all Indian citizens in Iran are strongly advised to stay put wherever they are, shelter in place, and refrain from travelling within the country unless absolutely necessary.
The Ministry further emphasized that any movement within Iran or towards border crossings should only be undertaken in close coordination with the Indian Embassy in Tehran. Nationals have been instructed to seek explicit guidance and approval from the Embassy before making any such decisions.
Reassuring citizens, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has stated that it remains fully operational and is available round-the-clock to assist Indian nationals during this period of uncertainty.
