India Advises Citizens in Iran to Shelter in Place Amid Evolving Situation

The Government of India has issued an advisory for Indian nationals currently residing in Iran, urging them to remain where they are, shelter in place, and avoid unnecessary movement in view of the rapidly evolving situation in the country.
The advisory states that any travel within Iran or towards border crossing points should be undertaken only in close coordination with the Embassy of India, Tehran and after obtaining explicit guidance from the Embassy.
The Indian Embassy in Tehran has assured continued assistance to Indian nationals and remains available through emergency helplines for support and guidance.
