Justice H.S. Grewal, Justice Deepinder Singh Nalwa Sworn in as Permanent Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court

Acting Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra, administered the oath of office to Justice H.S. Grewal and Justice Deepinder Singh Nalwa as Permanent Judges of the High Court during a swearing-in ceremony held in Chandigarh.

The induction of the two judges is expected to strengthen the functioning of the High Court and enhance its capacity to deal with the growing number of pending cases.
Lawyers and members of the public have long been demanding an increase in the strength of judges to ensure the speedy disposal of cases. The appointments of Justice Grewal and Justice Nalwa are expected to help reduce pendency and facilitate faster delivery of justice to litigants across Punjab, Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
