PM Modi to Visit Haryana, Chandigarh & Punjab on July 17; Launches Development Projects Worth Over ₹26,700 Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab on July 17, where he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹26,700 crore, covering railways, highways, healthcare, education and infrastructure.

The Prime Minister will begin his visit in Jind, Haryana, where he will flag off India’s first hydrogen-powered train between Jind and Sonipat, marking a major milestone in India’s clean mobility mission. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for National Highway and infrastructure projects worth around ₹14,700 crore, including key expressways, highways, medical colleges and the Sikh Museum at Kurukshetra.

In Chandigarh, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over ₹6,600 crore. Major highlights include the inauguration of the Advanced Mother and Child Centre and Advanced Neurosciences Centre at PGIMER, foundation stone for a 150-bed Critical Care Block, new educational infrastructure at Punjab Engineering College and Government College, Sector 46, besides key road projects including the IT City–Kurali Greenfield Highway, Zirakpur Greenfield Bypass, and the PR-7 Spur.

Later, the Prime Minister will visit Jalandhar, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over ₹5,470 crore. These include the inauguration of 75 redeveloped railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the Daulatpur Chowk–Kartoli rail line, flagging off new train services, and launching major National Highway projects, including the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway Package-6 and the Southern Ludhiana Bypass.

The visit is expected to significantly boost connectivity, healthcare, education, sustainable transport and economic development across Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab.
