National Human Rights & Anti-Corruption Force Undertakes Major Green Initiative at GMCH-32

The National Human Rights & Anti-Corruption Force (NHRACF), Chandigarh, organised a major green initiative at Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh, with the plantation of 200 saplings across the hospital campus. The initiative aimed to promote a cleaner, greener, healthier and more sustainable environment within the hospital premises, contributing to the well-being of patients, doctors, medical staff, attendants and visitors. The plantation drive was graced by Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, President, NHRACF; Prof. Ravneet Kaur Bedi, Director-Principal, GMCH-32; and Prof. Vishal Guglani, Medical Superintendent, GMCH-32. Their presence and support provided encouragement to the organisation’s ongoing efforts towards environmental protection and public welfare.
The event was also attended by Diljit Thukral, Rajan Mahajan, Ravinder Nath, Anil Mahajan, Harmanpreet Singh, Rajesh Mahajan, Arun Sharma and Vivek Sharma, along with other members and volunteers of the organisation.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamaljit Singh Panchhi emphasised that environmental protection is closely linked to public health. He said that planting trees in and around healthcare institutions can help create a healthier and more pleasant environment for patients, healthcare professionals and visitors, while also contributing to Chandigarh’s long-term environmental sustainability.
The National Human Rights & Anti-Corruption Force reaffirmed its commitment to undertaking more environmental protection, social welfare and public awareness initiatives across Chandigarh and to work in partnership with institutions and the community towards building a cleaner, greener and healthier society.
