National Lok Adalat to Be Held on September 12, 2026

The State Legal Services Authority, U.T. Chandigarh, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority, will organise a National Lok Adalat on September 12, 2026.

Persons wishing to settle their cases pending before the District Courts or other tribunals in U.T. Chandigarh through mutual compromise may contact the office of the District Legal Services Authority, U.T. Chandigarh. They may request that their cases be listed before the National Lok Adalat for an amicable settlement.

The categories of cases to be taken up include compoundable criminal offences; cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act; money recovery cases; motor accident claim cases; labour disputes; disputes relating to public utility services, including electricity and water bills; matrimonial and family disputes; rent matters; consumer protection matters; maintenance cases; and other civil cases, including disputes relating to rent, easementary rights, injunctions and specific performance.
