Congress Reshuffles Key Leadership: Pilot, Surjewala, and Baghel Given New State Responsibilities

In a major organizational shake-up, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) announced a series of fresh appointments and reassignments for key party functionaries, reshuffling state in-charges with immediate effect. The official release was issued by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal following approval from the Congress President.
New Appointments and Assignments
- Bhupesh Baghel: Appointed General Secretary In-charge of Assam.
- Randeep Singh Surjewala: Appointed General Secretary In-charge of Gujarat. He will also hold additional responsibility as the General Secretary In-charge of Karnataka.
- Sachin Pilot: Appointed General Secretary In-charge of Punjab.
- Sukhdeo Bhagat: Assigned as In-charge of Chhattisgarh.
- Dr. Sirivella Prasad: Assigned as In-charge of Maharashtra.
- P. V. Mohan: Assigned as In-charge of Andhra Pradesh.
The party formally recognized the efforts of outgoing General Secretaries and In-charges Jitendra Singh, Ramesh Chennithala, and Manickam Tagore, expressing appreciation for their contributions. Meanwhile, Mukul Wasnik will continue in his role as General Secretary, AICC.
