Administrator approves revised rates for door to door waste collection charges

Major relief to commercial and institutional units

The Voice of Chandigarh News : Giving a huge relief to the citizens of Chandigarh, Banwarilal Purohit, Governor, Punjab and Administrator, Chandigarh approved the revision of door to door waste collection charges, which are not only much lesser the previous rates but shall also be fixed on the basis of nature of work and categorised on the basis of size of commercial and institutional units.

The Administrator, while considering the proposal of the Municipal Corporation, approved the amendments in the door to door waste collection charges, which will not only improve the collection and door to door waste management in commercial areas but also add revenue which was unrealised till now. This step will definitely lead to further improvement of Swacch Sarvekshan rankings as door to door collection from commercial and institutional bodies, is compulsory.
