ADTOI General House Meeting Highlights

The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) recently held its General House Meeting (GHM), at Hotel Metropolitan & SPA, New Delhi, to discuss various aspects of the association’s growth, future plans, and member engagement. The meeting was well-attended by ADTOI members, with key leadership from the newly elected Managing Committee (MC) present.
The session began with a welcome address by Mr. Dalip Gupta, General Secretary, who thanked all present and emphasized the importance of active participation for the success of the association. In a solemn tribute, members stood for a two-minute silence in memory of Mr. VKT Balan, Chairman of Madura Travel Service Pvt. Ltd., who passed away on November 11, 2024.
Mr. Gupta introduced the newly elected MC Team, starting with Mr. Ved Khanna, President, who expressed his commitment to fulfilling the expectations of ADTOI members. He highlighted the significance of a new chapter in the association’s journey, underscored by the first-ever oath-taking ceremony for the MC team. The oath was administered by Past Presidents Mr. Jyoti Kapur and Mr. P.P. Khanna, reinforcing the commitment to ADTOI’s vision and goals.
A key highlight of the meeting was the formation of various sub-committees aimed at enhancing ADTOI’s operational and strategic initiatives. These committees, including the newly created MOT Approval Committee, Convention Committee, and Membership Drive Committee, are designed to address specific areas of growth and development. The committees will work towards increasing membership, promoting industry engagement, and addressing member concerns.
In his address, President Mr. Ved Khanna outlined ADTOI’s achievements, including the growth of membership from 750 to 1100 members. He stressed the need for continued hard work and unity to reach greater heights. Mr. Khanna also introduced several state chapter chairs and announced plans to expand chapters, with a goal of adding more by the end of the term.
The meeting also touched upon ADTOI’s recent participation in key industry events such as ITB India, RTDM Jaipur, and the North East Festival, as well as future events like the ADTOI National Travel Mart in Agartala.
Addressing member concerns, Mr. Vishal Joshi and Mr. Kartik Rakshit raised questions about the validity of certain nominations during the recent MC elections. The President assured that legal opinions would be sought and clarified at the next GHM.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to transparency and engagement, with ADTOI’s leadership pledging to keep members informed and involved in all major decisions.
