ADTOI Uttar Pradesh Chapter Celebrates World Tourism Day with a Focus on “Tourism & Green Investment”

The Uttar Pradesh Chapter of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India recently organized a celebration in honor of World Tourism Day. The event took place at the Rajdari Resort, located in the Chandra Prabha Wildlife Sanctuary of Chandauli. The theme of the event was based on the World Tourism Organization’s 2023 theme, “Tourism & Green Investment”.
During the event, Abhishek Sankrit, the ADTOI UP Secretary, delivered a welcoming speech to the guests. He introduced the theme of the event and explained that Chandauli was an ideal location to celebrate this year’s World Tourism Day, given its alignment with the event’s theme. Sankrit emphasized that the event provides a unique opportunity to promote rural and eco-tourism in Chandauli.
The chief guest of the event, Nikhil T Phunde, the District Magistrate of Chandauli, extended a warm welcome to all the ADTOI members at the Rajdari Resort. He highlighted the significance of the place and urged tour operators to include Chandauli in their tours with Varanasi. He also assured them that the government would provide support for tourism promotion and infrastructure development in Chandauli.
Kashi Nath Singh, the BJP District President, also emphasized the importance of Chandauli in ecotourism and rural tourism. Prof Pravin Rana of BHU provided an academic opinion on how to promote ecotourism in Chandauli.
The event was attended Shri Amit Kumar Gupta, Assistant Director of India Tourism, along with members of ADTOI, including Subhash Kapoor, Shiv Tripathi, Jitendra Singh, Inderjeet Kumar, Binit Mishra, and Pankaj Singh. Additionally, the local tribal community performed tribal dances and music to mark the occasion.
