Adviser inaugurates a new Mini COVID Center at Sports Complex in Sector-34

Dharampal, IAS, Adviser to Administrator UT inaugurated a new Mini COVID Center at Sports Complex in Sector-34 with a 50-bed capacity. This Centre has been set by M/s Kandhari Beverages Pvt Ltd. Vikram Kandhari, Joint Managing Director of Kandari Beverages Pvt Ltd explained that all the beds are oxygenated beds and qualified medical and para-medial staff have been provided to take care of the COVID positive patients. He further explained that a dedicated Ambulance has been provided to the Mini COVID Care Centre and arrangements have been made for music, yoga and nutritious food for the COVID patients.
Mr Dharampal, Adviser appreciated and thanked M/s Kandhari Group for coming forward and associating with the Administration during the ongoing crisis. He mentioned that during the second wave also, a Mini COVID Care Centre was successfully operated by the Kandhari Group. The Adviser made an appeal to other NGOs and Voluntary Organization to come forward and associate with the Chandigarh Administration in this noble cause.
Yashpal Garg, Secretary Health, Dr Suman Singh, DHS, Dr V.K. Nagpal, MS G. Diwan, Ex-DHS and Shri Rajiv Tiwari, Director Public Relations were also present during the inauguration of the Mini COVID Care Center.
The CVOID infection is spreading in the City at an alarming speed and it is expected that a number of infected persons may be many times the infections during the second wave peak in April/ May 2021. The Chandigarh Administration has given a clarion call for setting up Mini COVID Centers in the City voluntarily by the interested organization/associations. Any Individual, Association, Voluntary Organization, NGO, Religious Organization, Corporate, Firm or Trust may come forward for setting up a Mini COVID Care Centre for asymptomatic COVID positive patients. Stay, food, medicines and every other facility in the Mini COVID Care Centre will be free.
