All India Police Badminton Championship 2022-23

The Chandigarh Police got the opportunity to conduct the “15th All India Police Badminton Championship-2022-23”.
The matches of the tournaments were played with exciting and thrilling performances under the team events and open categories. Badminton fans have witnessed the keen contests as the 519 shuttlers from 37 teams have battled for the most popular and fiercely contested tournament.
The semi-final/final matches of open category of men’s and women’s double GO 45 and 50+, were played in full enthusiasm and good sports spirit at Badminton Hall, Sports Complex, Sector-7, Chandigarh.
The prize distribution ceremony was held in the evening with warm presence of Parveer Ranjan, IPS, DGP, UT, Chandigarh along with Dr. Vijay Namdeorao Zade, IAS, Finance Secretary, UT, Chandigarh. Raj Kumar Singh, IPS, IGP/UT, Razzuddin Observer tournament, Ram Gopal, Asstt. Organizing Secretary/DSP/CID, Surinder Mahajan, Competition Manager, coaches and other Senior Officers were also present. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to teams of 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place of open category GO’s and NGOs/ORs under categories mix double 50, Women’s Single 50, women’s single 45, mix double 45+ GO, Women’s Double GO, men’s double GO, Men’s double 50+ GO, team event, Women’s Single and Men’s Single 50+ GO. DGP/UT also honoured Surinder Mahajan, Competition Manager, Ravi Chauhan, Refree along with the coaches & umpires with momentums.
