ANOTHER BREAKTHROUGH FOR CHANDIGARH POLICE IN SENSATIONAL SECTOR 27 ROBBERY CASE

The Chandigarh Police has achieved another success by arresting another accused Sunil @ Sunny @ Bihari in the sensational case of Robbery, that took place on Tuesday dated 07.09.2021, in sector-27, Chandigarh.

On 07.09.2021 in the afternoon information was received in the PS Sector 26, Chandigarh, through the police control room that a quarrel had taken place in Sector-27/D, Chandigarh. On this information the Police party reached the spot where the complainant met the police party and gave her statement that she is living as a tenant in the house and she ordered some furniture for her home through one Manohar Singh, R/o # 486, Sector- 16, Dashmesh Nagar, from Rama Industries F-39, Ph-7, Mohali, Pb. On 30.08.2021 four boys came to drop the ordered furniture at her house. On 07.09.2021 at about 12.30 PM she was sitting in her house and the main door was open for the maid. In the meanwhile three (3) boys forcibly entered her house and pushed her and asked her not to shout. Out of the three boys, one boy went to the kitchen and took a knife and threatened her to give all her cash, ATM and other valuable articles. The other boys stood near her and called the main accused by the name Arjun, to check all the rooms. They robbed her of cash nearly about Rs. 6 Lakh, ATM, etc. On the basis of the said information, FIR No. 174, dated 07.09.2021, u/s 354,452,394 IPC, 1860 was registered at PS-26 against Arjun @ Nepali and 2 others and Section 397 IPC, was added subsequently.

One accused Prem @ Motu has already been arrested in the case on 10.09.2021 and today he was presented in the court from where he was sent to 14 days judicial custody. Further during investigation in the matter today on dated 11.09.2021 on secret information the accused Sunil @ Sunny @ Bihari was arrested from near bus stand 43, Chandigarh. Rs 1000/- and Apple Air Pod of the complainant was recovered from his possession. The accused Sunil @ Sunny @ Bihari in his disclosure stated that he committed the crime along with the other accused Arjun@ Nepali (mastermind), Arjun Kumar, Prem @ Motu. He along with the other accused had gone to the house of the complainant on 07.09.2021 and Prem stayed outside to guard while he and the other 2 accused were inside the house. He snatched the ATM card of the complainant and Arjun threatened her to give the pin of the ATM. After knowing the ATM pin he left the house to withdraw cash from the ATM. While leaving the house he picked up Apple Air Pods of the complainant and left. He along with Prem went to HDFC ATM Sector 30, Chandigarh to withdraw cash. He withdrew an amount of Rs 20,000/- in two instalments and divided the amount with Prem. He gave Rs 15,000/- to Prem and kept Rs 5000/- with him. He also gave the ATM card to Prem and told him the pin for further withdrawal of money from another ATM. He spent Rs4000/- out of the Rs5000/- which he got in his share. Further interrogation is going on. In the meanwhile, raids are being conducted at various places, to nab the other 2 remaining accused.
