Anti-Drug Awareness Program Held at GMSSS Sector 33/D Chandigarh

As per the directions of Senior Officers, the Samavesh Team PS-34, in collaboration with Bhartiya Sanskirtik Gyan Chandigarh and under the supervision of SDPO/South, organized a comprehensive awareness program on drug abuse under the campaign “Nasha Mukt Bharat” at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 33/D, Chandigarh.
During the program, students also took a pledge to contribute towards building a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
The initiative aimed to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse, the importance of cyber safety, and the need to follow traffic rules. The objective was to empower students with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and lead responsible lives.

SDPO/South addressed the students (125–150) of Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th, raising awareness about the harms of drugs, ways to protect themselves from substance abuse, cyber crimes, and the services of the E-Sathi App. Teams from the Cyber Crime Cell and ANTF also interacted with the students.

Distinguished speakers included Smt. Raj Bala, Principal, GMSSS Sector 33/D Chandigarh; M.S. Malik, Retd. W/DGP Haryana Police; Dr. Khanna from PGIMER; and Anup Sarin from Bhartiya Sanskirtik Gyan, who all addressed the gathering on the harmful effects of drug abuse.
The program covered various aspects, including:
•The ill effects of drug abuse and its impact on physical and mental health.
•Ways to protect oneself from drugs.
•Cyber safety tips to prevent online harassment, cyberbullying, and identity theft.
•The importance of following traffic rules to prevent accidents and ensure road safety.
