Arya Samaj and D.A.V. institutions made huge contribution in the freedom struggle – Satya Pal Jain

The Voice of Chandigarh : Former MP of Chandigarh and Additional Solicitor General of the Government of India Mr. Satya Pal Jain has said that Arya Samaj and D.A.V. Institutions made huge contribution in the freedom struggle which cannot be forgotten.

Mr. Jain was addressing the gathering as the chief guest in the program organized on the occasion of Independence Day in the DAV College Sector 10, Chandigarh.

Mr. Jain hoisted the national flag in the college and also paid homage to the brave martyrs at the College Martyr Memorial. College Principal Mrs. Rita Jain, staff members and students were also present in large numbers on this occasion.

Mr. Jain said when in August, 1947 the killing of Hindu-Sikhs became common in Pakistan, especially in Lahore, organizations like Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, Arya Samaj, played a major role in evacuating innocent people from Pakistan, protecting their lives and helping them reach India safely.

Mr. Jain said that Arya Samaj and D.A.V. institutions have also contributed immensely in the spread of education in the country and have awakened the spirit of patriotism among lakhs of youth.
