‘At Home’ Ceremony held at Punjab Raj Bhawan following grand Independence Day Celebrations
The Voice of Chandigarh News : The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Banwari Lal Purohit hosted a gala ‘At Home’ ceremony at the Punjab Raj Bhawan after the splendid Independence Day festivities.
The distinguished invitees from different walks of life converged at the Punjab Raj Bhavan which was tastefully decorated on the 77th Independence Day. The presence of National Awardees, distinguished sports persons and Divyangjan was significantly visible.
The Governor greeted the guests present and exchanged pleasantries with them.
The program began with the arrival of Governor at Sri Guru Nanak Dev auditorium at 5.00 PM. He was given a ceremonial welcome by the Police band followed by the stirring renditions of patriotic songs and dances by the artists of North Zone Cultural Centre, invoking a sense of pride and reverence for the Nation.
Attendees exchanged felicitations and engaged in conversations that exemplified the diversity and shared values that bind the people of India.
The ceremony provided an opportunity for attendees to come together in a spirit of camaraderie and patriotism, reflecting on the nation’s journey to freedom and its progress since.
