Awareness Session on “Accelerating MSME Growth: Market Access, Timely Finance, Quality Standards & Export Readiness” under RAMP Programme Series

Chandigarh Chapter, PHDCCI in association with the Industries Department, Chandigarh Administration, organized an Awareness Session on the theme “Accelerating MSME Growth: Market Access, Timely Finance, Quality Standards & Export Readiness”  under the Raising & Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme Series at PHD House, Sector 31, Chandigarh.

The session focused on strengthening the MSME ecosystem by creating awareness and offering guidance on capacity building, enhanced competitiveness, and sustainable growth.

Mr. Rajneesh Bansal, Chair, Chandigarh Chapter, PHDCCI, delivered the welcome remarks and emphasized the significance of the RAMP Programme in empowering MSMEs. He highlighted how the initiative enables industries to leverage government schemes effectively, adopt emerging technologies, and move towards sustainable and scalable growth.

Mr. Varun Singhwal, Manager, SIDBI, highlighted the critical role of timely payments in strengthening MSME competitiveness. He elaborated on the TReDS platform as an efficient mechanism for invoice discounting, enabling faster access to working capital. The session emphasized how digital financing solutions can reduce liquidity constraints and improve cash flow for MSMEs. Participants gained practical insights into leveraging TReDS to enhance financial discipline and business sustainability.

Ms. Talika Sharma, Bureau of Indian Standards, Chandigarh, emphasized the importance of quality standards in enhancing MSME competitiveness. She highlighted the role of BIS in ensuring product reliability, safety, and market acceptance. The session also guided MSMEs on certification processes and the benefits of adhering to national standards. Participants gained insights into building trust and expanding market reach through quality compliance.

Mr. Mohit Singh, Addble, New Delhi, highlighted how the ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) is transforming the way MSMEs access digital markets. He explained how ONDC enables businesses to break platform barriers and reach a wider customer base. The session emphasized cost-effective digital onboarding and increased visibility for small enterprises. Participants gained practical insights into leveraging ONDC to scale their business and enhance market presence.

Mr. S.K. Gupta, Chief Executive, Exim Enterprises, focused on preparing MSMEs for global market entry. He explained the fundamentals of export documentation, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The session highlighted key opportunities in international trade and the importance of compliance for smooth exports. Participants gained practical insights into initiating and managing export operations effectively.

Mr. Naveen Kumar, Resident Manager, PHDCCI, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the esteemed speakers, participants, and partners for their valuable contributions to the programme’s success. He appreciated the collaborative efforts that made the session insightful and impactful.
