Balbir Sidhu gets Cong ticket from Mohali, he vows to continue development saga
The Voice of Chandigarh News: Reposing faith in the leadership and the commendable works of Balbir Singh Sidhu the former Punjab cabinet minister and sitting Congress MLA from Mohali, the party high command has again declared him party candidate from Mohali. In fact the party has played its card on a winning prospect as far as the Mohali seat is concerned.
Sidhu, the winner of three times, has already started his election campaign aggressively under Covid norms in Mohali.
Speaking on the announcement of his name from Mohali, Sidhu said that he thanked the party high command for showing faith in him. Being a MLA from Mohali i have never compromised on the growth and development of Mohali. It is Mohali people’s faith and love for me that gave me the chance to serve them three times. I also tried my best to match their expectations.
‘Kaam kiya hai kaam kareinge’ will be our main poll plank this time. We had never compromised on it and we would never compromise on it,”
For me serving the Mohali people is like worship and I did it with my best. What we did in past years is in front of everybody. We brought numerous development projects in Mohali in past years with a major focus on health and education fronts.
Seeing Mohali rising on the development index is a feeling of relaxation but it’s not finished yet. Many more works are yet to be done and for that we are very much sure that the Mohali public will again give its affection and support to us, he maintained.
Meanwhile Sidhu also ridiculed the opposition for agenda-less in this poll. The Mohali public would never accept a leader who changes his sides during poll time mainly to fulfill his personal ambitions rather than to pay any heed to problems of the common man, he asserted.
