Banwarilal Purohit Governor of Punjab & Administrator Chandigarh inaugurated Community Centre at Sector 35 Chandigarh

Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab & Administrator, Chandigarh inaugurated the Community Centre at Sector 35, Chandigarh in the presence of Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament, Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor and Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator.

The Community Centre, Sector 35 has been developed by the Chandigarh Administration to cater a day to day social needs of residents of the vicinity. Constructed on a plot area of 1.00 acre with a total covered area of 18482 Sft, the two-storey building comes has been built in Rs.4.50 Crore.

The building has a Multi-purpose hall with a capacity of 300 persons, a Senior Citizen Room, Reception Room, Library, Dormitory/ Gymnasium etc.

The Administrator appreciated the work done by the Engineering Department regarding the construction of such a facility for the public and asked the residents of the area to keep it in good condition.  He has also announced that the process for the identification of 10 school sites for the construction of new schools in different parts of the city is in the finalization stage.
