BAR ASSOCIATION P&H HIGH COURT ORGANISES MARATHON TO CREATE AWARENESS ON ENVIRONMENT
The defenders of justice pick up the baton to defend the deteriorating environment

With an aim to ensure continued commitment towards the environment & spread awareness about the importance of green surroundings, the Bar Association of Punjab & Haryana High Court organized a 6km WALKATHON FOR GREEN HABITAT, 2022 in association with Furnishing Studio, Sector 7 Chandigarh.
The marathon was organised with the support and under the guidance of Adv. Santokhwinder Singh Grewal (Sabha) (President), Adv. Karan Nehra (Vice President), Adv. Vishal Aggarwal (Honorary Secretary), Adv. Kanu Sharma (Joint Secretary) and Adv. Sahil Gambhir (Treasurer).
Honorable Justice Rajesh Bhardwaj and Justice Vinod Bhardwaj flagged off the run from Gate no. 4 of the High Court premises at 6.30 a.m. in the presence of numerous advocates and others. It commenced with a Bhangra & Dhol rendition.
The members of the Bar association reiterated their commitment to go green. They urged everyone to adopt a lifestyle for a sustainable future & ensure better living for the future generations. They emphasised that green initiatives on any scale work for the best interest of mankind and advised against the use of plastic for safeguarding the ecology.
The Bar association is actively undertaking various green projects. Recently, in collaboration with Furnishing Studio, Sector 7 Chandigarh, they planted more than 700 plants and trees, installed fountain and beautified a garden near Gate no. 4 of the High Court premises.
The organisers Adv. Shvetanshu Goel & Adv. Shivain Arora put forth a commendable effort by organizing the marathon to spread the message of a green environment. Participants committed to go green & keep surroundings clean.
