Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana Hosts Grand Convocation Ceremony for 370 Young Lawyers
The Voice of Chandigarh News : The Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana recently held a grand convocation ceremony, marking a pivotal milestone in the careers of 370 newly enrolled lawyers. The event, which saw the presence of top legal dignitaries, celebrated the commencement of these young advocates’ professional journeys.
Hon’ble Mr. Pravindra Singh Chauhan, the Advocate General of Haryana, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered an inspiring address. He stressed the importance of hard work, perseverance, and dedication in the legal profession, urging the young lawyers to not only excel in their careers but also contribute positively to society. His words resonated deeply with the new advocates, many of whom are set to face the challenges and rewards of the legal field.
The ceremony was attended by other distinguished guests, including Dr. Vijender Singh Ahlawat, Chairman of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, and Mr. Karamjeet Singh Chaudhary, Honorary Secretary. Also present were Senior Advocate Mr. Gurtej Singh Grewal, Mr. Raj Kumar Chauhan, Mr. Jai Vir Yadav, Mr. C.M. Munjal, Mr. Amit Rana, and Mr. Lekh Raj Sharma, who all played a key role in the success of the event.
In his address, Hon’ble Advocate General Chauhan highlighted the significance of continued learning and ethical conduct in the legal profession. Reflecting on his own journey from the District Courts of Karnal to his current position as Advocate General, he encouraged the young lawyers to remain committed to their goals and serve as pillars of justice.
The convocation marked the official start of the careers for these 370 young lawyers, who have now joined the ranks of over 1.5 lakh advocates enrolled with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana. Established under the Advocates Act, 1961, the Bar Council has been instrumental in shaping the legal landscape of the region.
