State of the art facilities and subsidised Charges attracting the people for treatment

Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister, Dr Baljit Kaur said that the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government in line its’ commitment to provide viable and quality treatment and public sector health institutes is going to strengthen the Regional Spine Injury Centre, Sector 70, Mohali shortly.
Visiting the Centre, today, in wake of the upcoming expansion, the Minister said that the Regional Spine Injury Centre Mohali is among the four National level spine injury centers being run by Government of India and respective State Governments at Cuttack, Jabalpur and Bareilly.
She said that the centre has been catering to the neighboring states of Haryana, Himachal and Chandigarh too as a leading speciality institute in the Northern Region. This medical institution provides rehabilitation measures to patients with Spinal disabilities and also with orthopedic and Neurological problems.
She further said that the highly subsidised treatment cost, advanced machines have been attracting the patients with spine injury here for treatment. She said that the Centre has the Open MRI Machine that is only with PGI Chandigarh in the region. The whole body MRI Scan fee is charged Rs 2500 only.
The Social Security Minister Dr Baljit Kaur said that Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is of the opinion that the National level state funding institute should be further developed as a state of the art health Institute, thereby, She has been visiting the Centre with its Incharge Doctor Dr Raj Bahadur, today.
She said that as per the proposal the bedding capacity would also be enhanced during the strengthening and expanding of the institution.
