Bonus, fest allowance for KTDC, DTPC employees announced

The Government has announced bonus and festival allowance for employees of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) and the District Tourism Promotion Councils (DTPCs).
The decision, taken on the eve of Onam, follows discussions between the respective managements and the representatives of the recognized trade unions in the presence of Tourism Minister Shri P A Mohamed Riyas today.
The permanent employees of KTDC within the eligible bracket will get 8.33 per cent of annual wages as bonus. Those who are not eligible for bonus will receive Rs 2750 as festival allowance.
Also, the permanent employees of KTDC will be eligible for a festival advance of Rs 20000 and contract employees can avail Rs 5000 as advance.
The trainees, other than internees, contract employees and daily wage earners in various units of KTDC, will be eligible for festival allowance as per the existing norms. Also, trainees, other than internees, contract employees and daily wage earners in various units of KTDC will be given Rs. 1000 as productivity linked bonus.
The employees of the DTPCs will be eligible for the bonus and festival allowance based on criteria in this regard for government employees and pensioners.
The DTPCs running on profit can pay its employees upto Rs 3000, based on the decision of the executive committee concerned.
The Minister also directed the DTPCs to pay Rs 1000 each as festival allowance for employees attached to the Clean Destination Campaign undertaken by the DTPCs.
