BRIDGING INDIA AND RUSSIA; 6Th OTOAI Convention Showcases Moscow’s Tourism Potential

The 6th Convention of the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) unfolded in the majestic city of Moscow, bringing together travel industry leaders under the theme “Fast Forward Future – The Intelligent Travel.” The event emphasized innovation, global collaboration, and future-forward tourism strategies.
Mr. Daniel Hawkins, Master of Ceremonies, delivered the Welcome Address, setting the tone for a thought-provoking program.
In his inaugural remarks, the President of OTOAI Himanshu Patil welcomed dignitaries, delegates, and members, including representatives from the Moscow City Tourism Committee. He described Moscow as an “out-of-the-box” destination offering Indian travelers a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. “This convention opens the doors to a new era of partnership between India and Russia, where travel becomes our shared language and tourism our bridge,” he stated, adding that Russia is safe, welcoming, and eager to host Indian tourists.
Shravan Bhalla, Vice President of OTOAI and Convention Chairman, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting Moscow’s selection as the convention host city. OTOAI sought to redefine perceptions around safety and accessibility, showcasing Moscow’s potential as a premier destination for Indian outbound tourism. With its rich cultural heritage and opportunities for luxury travel, corporate events, and film productions, Moscow offers immense potential. Bhalla emphasized the importance of “intelligent travel” in today’s rapidly evolving industry, aligning with the convention’s theme, “Fast Forward Future: The Intelligent Travel”.”


Delivering a Special Address, Mr. Evgenly Kozlov, First Deputy Head of the Office of the Mayor and Chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee, emphasized Moscow’s readiness to deepen its tourism ties with India.





A key highlight was the Panel Discussion on “Connected Travel: Building Speed, Safety & Scale for the Intelligent Traveler,” moderated by Mr. Sanjeet. Esteemed panelists included:
