CA Vijender Singh Bachhal appointed as Chair, Yi Chandigarh Chapter 2025

The Annual Session for the Young Indians (Yi) Chandigarh Chapter for 2024 held today at the CII Northern Region Headquarters brought together members of Yi, a platform that aims to build a network of young leaders who are committed to national development and business leadership.
During the session, Mr Anurag Gupta, Chairman, CII Chandigarh and Managing Director, Usha Yarns Ltd, emphasized, “Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) under its flagship initiative of Young Indian (Yi) has created a platform for young Indians to work towards realizing this dream of a developed nation. With its motto of ‘We Can, We Will’, The Yi membership comprises of entrepreneurs, professionals, and achievers from different walks of life. The integration of Yi with CII presents an exciting opportunity for cross-collaboration and synergy.”
CA Harshit Gupta, Co-Chair, Leadership Academy, Young Indians and Partner, N Kumar Gupta & Associates for a year focused on strengthening membership and social issues while ensuring Chandigarh’s participation in national events. “The chapter has shown a promising growth and is sure to achieve greater goals under Mr Vijender’s leadership. My wishes for the chapter members for their contribution towards Nation Building,” he said.
Mr Arvind Sehdev, Chair, Yi Chandigarh Chapter and Advocate & Partner, Lexcollar Law Firm, remarked, “Leading the Young Indians Chandigarh Chapter has been a privilege and a journey of growth, collaboration, and impact. Coinciding with the session, CA Vijender Singh Bachhal, Partner, Bachhal Vijender & Associates, was elected as Chair of Yi Chandigarh Chapter for 2025. CA Vijender succeeds Mr Arvind Sehdev, who was lauded for his exceptional leadership during his tenure.
“Chandigarh’s start-up ecosystem and city ecosystem needs participation and push from all spheres of organisations and social elements. YI Chandigarh is committed to youth engagement and empowerment for the better today and tomorrow. It is the time and year of active participation and focused impact,” CA Vijender Singh Bachhal shared in his opening remarks as Chair.
Vijender Singh, a graduate from Punjab University, Chandigarh, is a Chartered Accountant (CA), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the California Board of Accountancy, and a Registered Valuer under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). With expertise in accounting, tax, strategy, and valuation, he began his career at Ramco Systems Ltd in Chennai, where he contributed to raising $50 million from HDFC Securities. He later joined Ernst & Young (EY), specializing in M&A transactions, financial due diligence, and advisory roles, including a rotation to their San Jose, California office. In 2018, Vijender moved back to Chandigarh to establish his consulting firm, Bachhal Vijender & Associates, which expanded into four offices. He is also a partner at MPRAM Consulting Group in Atlanta, where he leads M&A valuations, due diligence for incubators like Thapar University and IISER, and compliance consulting for startups, including fundraising, ESOP planning, and product pricing strategies.
