CBM Delegation Meets Administrator, U.T. Opposes Likely Increase in Collateral Rates and Raises Pending Traders Issues
The Voice of Chandigarh News:
A delegation of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal (CBM) led by its new President Sanjeev Chadha and Chairman Charanjiv Singh met with Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T., at Punjab Raj Bhawan yesterday. The delegation included Sat Pal Gupta, Chief Patron; Balwinder Singh, General Secretary and Sushil Bansal, Secretary.

During the meeting, President Sanjeev Chadha raised concerns about the delay in implementing the One Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme and other pending trader issues. Charanjiv Singh, Chairman of CBM, emphasized the need for immediate changes in Building Bye Laws to facilitate smoother business operations.
The delegation also strongly opposed the likely increase in collateral rates, which would severely impact the trading community. They highlighted the issue of businesses shifting to nearby states due to more trader-friendly laws in nearby Tri-city and urged the Administrator to address these concerns and create a more conducive business environment in Chandigarh.

CBM has been actively working towards resolving trader issues and promoting the welfare of the trading community in Chandigarh. As the apex body of traders, CBM aims to foster a positive business environment and support the growth of commerce in the city.
